The production of Belarusian laptops cannot be called import substitution, declaration Eldar Murtazin, a leading analyst at Mobile Research Group, in an interview with Public News Service. According to him, these computers are not domestic development because they consist of Western components.
“Belarusian production is an SKD assembly. At best, this is an SNT card. In fact, all its components are Western. Based on this, it is impossible to talk about any import substitution – this is a derivative, ”said the expert.
He also suggested that Belarus laptops cannot compete with Western and Chinese manufacturers because they are C-branded or premium computers. According to him, there are many such offers on the market, including from foreign manufacturers.
