Samsung Electronics has delayed its first foldable OLED laptop to 2023. About informs Notebookcheck portal with a link to a Korean company report.
The laptop with a folding screen will receive a 17.3-inch OLED matrix manufactured by Samsung Display. The launch of the device will coincide with the launch of HP’s first laptop from LG with a similar 17-inch foldable display. It is noted that the starting price of a Samsung laptop will be lower than that of its competitors, thanks to the use of a screen manufactured by a subsidiary.
However, Samsung’s first laptop with a foldable screen will offer the largest folded screen at 13.3 inches. New products from HP with a 17-inch screen will be folded into an 11-inch device.
There are currently two similar laptops on the market from Asus and Lenovo. For example, Asus ZenBook 17 Fold OLED folds from 17-inch to 12.6-inch laptop, Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 2 folds from 16.3-inch device to 12-inch laptop.
