Europol has closed the international hacker forum RaidForums, where its participants actively publish databases from Russia and Belarus. TASSWith reference to the press service of Group-IB.
“RaidForums has become unusable again. In the chat, users claimed that the incident was caused by the forum representatives supporting Ukraine and blocking all accounts with IP addresses from Russia. In addition, the attackers began to actively publish databases on citizens of Russia and Belarus.
In total, about 100 bases were sent from various areas, according to Group-IB. For example, we are talking about the customer base of a large fitness network, an online store, a postal service, a mobile operator, a transport company, a bank, a dating site.
Among the published information was a lot of irrelevant or compiled information. That is why the publication of an open database of an express delivery operator operating in the Russian Federation and the CIS has become one of the latest leaks, the company said. The launch of RaidForums took place in 2015. This forum has been recognized as one of the largest hacker platforms in the world, with over half a million users. He specializes in selling databases from user logins and passwords on websites to personal data of citizens of different countries, including full names, addresses, phone numbers and emails, photos of their IDs, passports and driver’s licenses.
Previously, hackers from the Anonymous group announced Russia “cyber war” in connection with the events in Ukraine.
