The data in the corporate directory “Beeline” was in the public domain, reports DEA Newsreferring to the operator’s press service.
At the same time, Beeline said that the data of the company’s customers is safe.
“We confirm the information on open access to data in the corporate directory available to every Beeline employee,” the message reads.
The press service also stated that an investigation is underway to establish the causes of the incident.
Earlier, a number of Telegram channels reported a leak from Beeline’s corporate directory.
Before that, the State Duma Information Policy Committee suggested An amendment to the draft law on strengthening the protection of Russian personal data, which obliges personal data operators to notify the competent authorities within 24 hours from the moment of detection of a data leak.
