The community center and Sber office in Samara have won the national Green Office Awards 2022, which has selected the best office real estate in energy and water efficiency, environmental design, employee health, green purchasing systems and more.
Sberbank’s first public center in Russia and its adjoining office on the street in Samara. Vilonovskaya, 13, received several awards at once from the national green building and enterprise Green Office Awards 2022.
Sber’s facilities won the main nomination for “Best Green Office” and two special nominations for “Best Environmental Design and Office/Building Design Solutions” and “Best Office/Building for Employee Health”.
The jury drew attention to the environmentally friendly and ergonomic design of the facilities, the use of water filtration systems instead of coolers, the energy saving system, the inclusiveness of the space and much more.
The Sber Community Center is the first such center in Russia that unites the environmentally friendly community of the Samara region and other regions of the Volga region. Local residents, who are not indifferent to the issues of ecology, social support and cultural development, organize free events, discuss environmental and social initiatives, and implement projects.
Modern materials and technologies that meet all environmental requirements were used in the design of Sberbank’s public headquarters and adjoining office.
“Bringing modern green technologies to Sber’s offices is an important aspect of our ESG policy. “Offices that meet environmental standards are safe and comfortable for both our customers and our employees,” said Stanislav Kuznetsov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank.
He added that this summer, the Sber community center and its adjoining office in Samara received a gold certificate for compliance with Russian environmental standards.
