Tesla is recalling about 80,000 electric cars from China due to seat belt issues and software bugs. It has been reported Bloomberg.
The recall will affect approximately 70,000 imported Model S, Model X and Model 3 models, as well as 10,000 Chinese-made Model 3s. Model S and Model X will require a software bug fix to fix a flaw in the vehicle’s battery management system that could cause a loss of power. As for the Model 3, they were found to have a faulty seat belt anchor.
Tesla urged all Model 3 owners affected by the defect to return their vehicles for maintenance if necessary, and also urged drivers to be “careful” on the road.
