On Steam on the remake page The release date of System Shock has changed. Now, judging by this data, the game will be released in March 2023, and not in the current year as previously thought.
Publisher Prime Matter and developers at Nightdive Studios have not yet explained the reasons for the transfer. Note that this is not the first case.
The plot of the remake repeats the events of the original game. The main character will be an unnamed hacker sent to the Citadel space station, owned by the TriOptimum company. He must stop the rebellious AI named SHODAN, who has taken control of the station.
The remake promises modern graphics and improved gameplay. However, the spirit of the original game remains. Note that earlier the developers already showed the final battle of the game and the credits after it.
