What is the World Beyond the Canvas event about?
You don’t have to fight against strong monsters or look for hidden treasures – everything is much easier. Illustrator Asagiri asks the hero to take some pictures. Thanks to them, the girl plans to get inspiration for new paintings.
Every day you will receive an assignment for two photos. To complete it, you must meet all additional conditions.
Once you select a photo, the location you want to shoot will appear on the map, so finding it isn’t a problem.
In total, the players wait 14 tasks (two photos each within seven days).
Open and start an event
The event starts on April 1, 2022 and lasts until 11 a.m.
To participate you must meet a number of conditions:
- 30 adventure rank;
- complete the quest “Escape from the island of Rito” from the task of the archons “Unchanging God and Eternal Utopia”;
- complete the task “Smile” (to get the camera).
Asagiri is waiting for you in Inazuma. After receiving the task, open the event menu to select the desired photo and then go to the specified location.
How to take the first picture “The Legend of the Knight of the Wind”
Return to Mondstadt and find Favonius Cathedral. It is necessary to capture three points of the building, the character must look into the camera and use the Anemo skill.
By activating the target marker, you will immediately see the three required points. Follow all conditions to consider the photo successful. It also doesn’t matter who exactly is in the picture – you can use any Anemo character.
How to take the second picture “The Legend of the Knight of the Wind”
Asagiri wants to portray a battlefield, so you’ll need to find a place that is revered among the Knights of Favonius. Not far from Mondstadt is the Valley of the Winds. There is a huge tree – that’s what you need.
As with the first time, we need to repair two points of the tree. Also, the character must belong to the order of Favonius and be under the crown. It is important that the photo be taken between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM – you will need to set a timer on the in-game clock.
Suitable characters: Genie, Keia, Albedo, Eola, Amber, Noel, Lisa, Sucrose, Klee.
How to take the third photo of Wanshu’s Inn
For the third selfie, you need to find the Vanchu Inn. It is located in the Guili Valley in Li Yue. To make the photo successful, you need to capture two points, look at the camera and be on time in the time interval from 11 to 12 noon or from 6 to midnight.
How to take the fourth picture of the Dragonspine Conspiracy
All in the same Guili Valley, located in Li Yue, you will find the required point. You need to capture three points, take a photo from 11am to 2pm on the same day, turn your face to the mountain and back to the camera.
How to take the fifth picture “How to use thunder, lightning and sword correctly”
For the fifth photo, head to the Highlands of the Roaring Winds in Mondstadt. You only need to fix one point, but you also need to use the explosion of the elements of Electro. Usually elemental explosions are ultimate abilities that need to be recharged. Remember this before you run the task.
How to take the sixth picture “Fable of Qingce Village”. How do you put a character in a rest position?
Visit Qingze Village in Li Yue for another shot. It is necessary to establish three points and be on time in the time interval from six in the morning to six in the evening. An important condition is also finding the character in a resting position. To enter this state, it is enough to let the hero stand for a while and do nothing. An individual animation begins, for example clapping hands or dancing – this is the resting position.
How to take the seventh picture “Aporia Gorge”
For this photo, head to Lisha Suburb, located in Li Yue. It is necessary to establish three points and look into the camera. Also, a catalyst must be selected as a weapon and the character must use a charged attack. To do this is quite simple – hold down the strike button. The catalyst is a magical weapon, not all characters can wield it. Eligible heroes include: Barbara, Klee, Kokomi, Lisa, Mona, Ning Guang, Sucrose, Yan Fei, Yae Miko.
How do you take the 8th Rock Eater photo?
The place you need is in the port of Li Yue. Fix two points, face the camera and apply a normal attack. As with the previous task, a catalyst must be chosen as a weapon.
How to take the ninth picture of Rock Eater: Monkey Cliff
Travel to Jasper Forest in Li Yue territory. Lock two points and use a light attack. The character must be facing the camera and belong to Li Yue. List of eligible heroes:
- Ningguang;

- Zhong Li;
- Bay Doe;
- Ke Qing;
- Xiangling;
- qi-qi;
- Xing Qiu;

How to take the 10th Rock Eater: Fall of Twilight photo
Check out Skyward Limit in Li Yue. Pin three points in the photo and take it from 4 pm to 6 pm. The character should be facing the camera and be in a resting position.

You will receive the same reward for every photo taken:
- Source stones (30);
- Mora (20,000);
- Heroic mind (2).
