Publisher Take-Two has demanded that the development of a fan-made mod that changes the graphics in GTA 4. This was reported by the developers themselves. This is a modification of the Definitive Edition.

According to the authors, Take-Two filed a copyright infringement complaint, so they had to remove links to all developments from the site and the official Discord server. The Definitive Edition mod used new textures and effects, improving the game’s graphics.

At the same time, similar customizations for previous games are still available online. And earlier, another development team had to remove the GTA 4 Ultimate Beautiful Edition mod, which also improved the visual component.
