Journalists published the first minutes of body horror Scorn, whose visual style is inspired by the work of Alien creator Hans Giger. The hero explores a mysterious complex, solves puzzles and interacts with various devices that resemble living things.
As the press points out, Scorn is definitely not for the squeamish: too much rot, slimy items, swamp greens and browns. Many mechanisms require the hero to put his hands in it – it looks really disgusting.
There are no opponents in the prologue, so for the first half hour the hero is only engaged in puzzles. The Eurogamer author didn’t like the game’s too slow pace: “Scorn has a fantastic visual aesthetic. The game could turn into a hardcore festival of violence, but for now it’s like going to work in someone’s anus in a factory“.
