Artist Lorenzo Dominesco from Italy decided to use Unreal Engine 5 to show what Lara Croft could look like in the new part Tomb Raider, as the appearance of the heroine was given by Angelina Jolie, who played the tomb raider in the films of 2001 and 2003.

The enthusiast showcased Lara in two different outfits – the first is taken from the movie “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider”, the second is inspired by the original games from the 90s.
I want to show my latest work dedicated to Lara Croft, one of my favorite video game characters. I decided to do Angelina Jolie’s image because to me she best reflected all of Lara’s characters. I decided to create the project in UE5 because I wanted to see the power of the engine and its potential to create realistic characters. All assets, including gear and weapons, were created with Zbrush and 3ds Max. For texturing I used Substance Painter and Mari. Hair made in Maya’s XGen. I hope you will like it!
Rumor has it that the new Tomb Raider is also being built on Unreal Engine 5 and won’t be released until 2024 at the earliest. The developers show 30-year-old Lara, who has already become an experienced and world-famous adventurer.
