As part of the Tokyo Game Show 2022, the ION LANDS studio presented a new video of a cyberpunk life simulator with complete freedom and an open world Nivalis, where you can see gameplay footage.
One of the developers of the game in a published video said that Blade Runner is the main inspiration for the creation of Nivalis. The author even remembered the scene where Deckard buys noodles in one of the street restaurants.
The developer also talked about the main difference between Nivalis and Cloudpunk (another ION LANDS project). Basically, the previous game focused on exploring a cyberpunk city in a flying car. In the new project, the authors want to show the sci-fi setting from within. An example is the ability to manage your own business in the world of cyberpunk.
They promise to add a photo mode to the game, which will allow players to take beautiful screenshots with fantastic landscapes.
The developer noted that the studio is now actively working to make every NPC in the game as detailed and vibrant as possible. They go to work, visit their favorite restaurants, relax in nightclubs, fish, trade in various items and do much more.
