How to Participate in the Pill Study Event
An alchemist named Hajanage appeared near Sumeru. The girl is experimenting with powerful “remelting pills”. You can help her. Complete a few challenges and use the melting effects to see how they work.
Access to the event:
- Reach adventure rank 20.
- Unlock the Sumeru region.
When the above points are completed, enter the event menu and press the button in the corresponding section “to the task”. You have to complete a little quest before starting the first test.
Use fast travel to the teleporter on the ramp of Gandh and talk to Hajanad.
After the dialogue, the quest is completed. You will receive some rewards and unlock access to the event challenges.

Event rules. How to use the melter and get an extra damage bonus
All tests are divided into three rounds. For each round, you can choose existing heroes or trial heroes. You will receive points for defeating constantly appearing enemies. The more points the player scores, the greater the chance of getting all the rewards.
In addition, every 15 seconds you have the right to use the melter for one or more possible effects at the same time. There will be unique effects in individual rounds, so you will have to choose the right heroes before starting the fight.
After activating the melter, you can reduce the cooling of its use. To do this, simply defeat the enemies in the arena.

Which multiplier to choose
If, in addition to trial heroes, you have upgraded characters at your disposal, we recommend setting the multiplier “x2”. This way you quickly score the maximum number of points in each round.
First round
Refining Effects:
- Cold water decoction: The active character gets 110% bonus for Hydro damage;
- Frosty decoction: Active Hero gets 110% Cryo Damage bonus;
- Drink of Crack: When the active character causes the freeze reaction on the enemy, the frozen enemy’s defense is reduced by 25%;
- Potion of brittleness: The damage the character inflicts on frozen enemies is increased by 50%.
Which heroes to use?
Melting effects add a bonus to the damage of Cryo and Hydro elements, so it makes sense to choose such characters. The game gives you the option to include multiple test heroes in your squad. This is especially useful if you don’t have upgraded characters:
- Tartaglia (trial).
- Gan Yu (trial).
- Eola (if available).
- Ye Lan (if available). Sangonomiya Kokomi is also suitable.
In addition, you also have the right to choose one hero of the Geo element. This will help craft crystals and use a shield to avoid damage.
Second round
Refining Effects:
- Cold water decoction: The active character gets 110% bonus for Hydro damage;
- Burning brew: Active hero gains 110% Pyro damage bonus;
- Perspiration drink: When the active character invokes the vapor or melt reaction on an enemy, a shock wave is generated that deals damage to nearby enemies. May occur once every 5 seconds;
- Attack Potion: The chance of critical hits from all party members is increased by 35%.
Which heroes to use?
The elemental heroes Hydro and Pyro come in handy in this round. If you do not have such characters, then you should choose trial versions. However, we recommend equipping the following unit:
- Tartaglia (trial).
- Hu Tao (trial).
- Ye Lan (if available).
- Dilyuk (if available).
When activated perspiration drink, successively use Hydro and Pyro’s elemental abilities. This allows you to quickly deal with enemies and gain a large number of points.
third round

This round is very similar to the previous one, so there should be no problems. We equip Pyro and Cryo heroes in the squad:
- Gan Yu (trial).
- Hu Tao (trial).
- Eola (if available).
- Dilyuk (if available).
As in the previous battle, activating the perspiration potion requires you to switch between the heroes of different elements and use elemental skills.
If you took our advice, the “x2” multiplier should earn you no less 5000 points for completing three rounds. This will unlock all available challenge rewards.

How to Complete the Thunder Pill Trial
First round
In this challenge, melting effects provide bonuses for physical and electrical damage. It’s also worth using Character Cryo to create Superconductor and Overload effects. This will help to restore elemental energy quickly.
Which heroes to use?
- Eola (trial).
- Raiden (trial).
- Eloy or Kaya (trial).
- Razor (trial).
At the beginning of the battle there should be no difficulties. If less than a minute is left before the end of the round, elite enemies will appear on the battlefield. Use the melter to get a bonus for Electro attacks and activate Raiden and Razor’s elemental abilities. When Hardness Brew is activated, we recommend attacking with Eola’s normal or charged attacks.
Second round
Just like in the previous round, you need to include multiple Electro-heroes in your squad. Additionally, select a trial Pyro hero and one upgraded character of the same element (if any).
Which heroes to use?
- Klee (trial).
- Ke Qing (trial).
- Dilyuk (if available).
- Raiden (if available).
In this battle you will encounter a large number of enemies of the elements of Crio. Destroy them with Pyro attacks and activate the melting effects in time.
third round
The final round is quite difficult to complete, even if you use the standard difficulty multiplier and trial heroes. To save the characters until the end of the round, you can use Geo’s Elemental Traveler or another similar character. This will help create crystals and activate shields.
Which heroes to use?
- Ke Qing (trial).
- Ayato (trial).
- Any Geo character.
- Ye Lan (if available).
Try to make and collect crystals as often as possible. Otherwise, you risk losing one or more members of your squad.
