Studio DICE left one of the most important vintage cars, Battlefield creative director Lars Gustavsson (Lars Gustavsson). Gustavsson worked in the team for 20 years and found the first part of the franchise.

The departure was announced by Battlefield General Manager Byron Beede.

As we build the future of Battlefield, don’t forget to thank those who made us here. Creative Director Lars Gustavsson, who has worked on the franchise from the beginning and whom we affectionately referred to as “Mr. Battlefield”, has decided to embark on a new adventure. We would like to thank him for his invaluable experience, knowledge and friendship during all these years.

Lars has devoted much of his life to Battlefield and is proud to have helped make the franchise what it is today.

In addition, Byron Beed announced the opening of a new Ridgeline Games studio in Seattle. It is led by Marcus Lehto, co-creator of the Halo series. The new team will be working on the story portion of Battlefield – it’s not clear yet if we’re talking about a campaign for the next installment or an independent project.
