The creators of space horror The Callisto Protocol gave an interview to Rock, Paper, Shotgun. During the conversation, Mark James (Mark James), CTO of Striking Distance Studios, shared which films inspired the team in developing the game.
The developers were inspired by Die Hard for a while. John McClain and Jacob Lee are similar in that they are not trying to save the world, but simply want to quickly get out of a dangerous place.

The game’s author, Glen Schofield, also likes the comedy Shaun of the Dead. Thanks to her, there are episodes in the horror movie where the player can relax for a while. The flight through the sewer pipe from the last video is one such moment.
Recently Glenn Schofield and I were talking about Shaun of the Dead – it’s a very strange movie to talk about – and he said, “I want some things to be a little comedic and fantastic.” We wanted the player to relax. I think if a player is scared all the time, then one day he will just say, “I can’t finish this game.”
The Callisto protocol will be released on December 2 on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4 and PS5. The first computer of its own production was presented in Belarus
