What is Electro Fern
The Electro Fern was introduced to Genshin Impact with Update 3.0. This new world boss is located in the Sumeru region. The enemy is an intelligent plant, which then mutates to feed on powerful energy from the Earth. The Electro Fern collects electrical powers and sends them to all living things that may be nearby. Not everyone can survive such attacks.
How to get to the Electro Fern boss
The map shows the location of the Electro Fern. Players should not attempt to climb the mountain on their own from the south, east, or north sides. Use the quick journey to the statue of Dendro Archon in the south of the Motiima forest and find the entrance to the cave. Run forward and examine the passage on the right.
From the teleport we run along the path to a small fork. From there we turn onto the path to the right and in a straight line we arrive at the boss. There is no need to hit the enemy immediately.
We pass the left side of the arena and climb to the path. We go by and activate another teleport. It is located northeast of the arena.
What skills does Electro Fern use?
The enemy has several repeated attacks that can cause serious damage. These actions are very similar to the abilities of other plants. Each of the Electro Fern’s abilities is described below:
- golf – the boss hits the ground with his whole body and activates a current of electrical energy that moves in a straight line and, when it hits the hero, knocks him down. It is quite easy to dodge the attack. It is enough to go to the left or right side of the wave. While the flower is on the ground, it may take some damage.
- reversal – the boss hits the ground and spins in a circle, and the flow of electrical energy moves behind him. We’re leaving to avoid damage.
- circular laser – the enemy makes a short turn and launches a beam in a small radius in an arc around him. It is enough to take a few steps back to dodge the blow.
- arrows – the enemy lifts two long roots of the plant and launches several salvos at the hero. They are not aimed at the player, so they are easy to dodge in any direction.
- stamen – the enemy launches an electric seed on the battlefield, which explodes after a while, dealing significant damage in the radius of the arena. Once the item lands on the ground, you must immediately break it with a ranged or melee attack.
- Ray – the boss launches a powerful stream of electrical energy in a straight line. You have to go left or right to avoid the reception. We go around the enemy from behind and deal a lot of damage from the back.
- pillars – the flower launches energy streams from the air, which cause great damage. Purple circles are displayed on the ground, in the area where a power surge will occur after a while. We run back and forth to dodge a powerful ability.
How to beat Electro Fern and get all the rewards
First of all, it is recommended to carefully study the previous section and familiarize yourself with all the enemy’s attacks. The player has to dodge the blows in time and destroy all the fallen stamens to avoid a powerful explosion. It is advisable to keep your distance and use long range weapons.
It is also necessary to target the weak points of the Electro Fern: the core at the base and the large electric eye at the head. Once these parts run out of health, the boss will fall to the floor and be stunned for a long time. We rush forward and use the most powerful tricks to destroy the enemy quickly.
It is worth noting that you can only destroy the stamens with the help of elemental skills and an elemental explosion. While they are active, the damage to the boss will be very weak – about 20% of the attack power of the heroes.
In combat, it is recommended to use Cryo or Pyro attacks – they are best at breaking through electric enemies.
Below we tell you more about meeting all the conditions for receiving rewards:
- Destroy 1 stamen – the inscription “The core of the electrofern begins to form in its corolla” will appear on the screen, and the enemy will throw a seed into the arena to be broken.
- Destroy 1 stamen of waning – the screen shows the inscription “Energy from the core flows to the roots”, and the boss sends a seed to the battlefield, which must be destroyed.
- Defeat the Electro Fern before two types of stamen cause an electrical explosion. – you cannot allow the enemy to send two seeds to the arena at once, so when they appear, they must be destroyed very quickly in battle.
- Stun an Electro Fern by attacking the Electro Core belowo – this zone is located almost at the root of the plant. We’ll fire at this core until the boss’s health runs out. The Electro Fern will then fall to the ground and be stunned for an extended period of time.
After all four conditions are met, the player will receive the maximum amount of rewards for killing the boss.
What are the rewards for killing an Electro Fern?
After beating the Electro Fern, players will receive several important bonuses. Below is a list of possible rewards (the number depends on the current world level):
- Thunder Fruit (from 1 to 3 units) – a new item that only falls from the Electro Fern. There are currently no heroes and weapons that the artifact can be used for.
- Multiple items from the sets “Healer”, “Instructor”, “Exile”, “Lightning Shaman”, “End of the Gladiator”, and “Wandering Ensemble”.
- Character experience (200 pieces).
- Adventure experience (from 138 to 200 pieces).
- Friendship Experience (from 30 to 45 pieces).
- mora (from 3450 to 6000 pieces).
- Exalted Gems from the Vajrad set (amethyst shard, amethyst fragment, piece of amethyst and precious amethyst).
- primeval resin (40 pieces).
Which command to use in the fight with Electro Fern
As mentioned before, it is recommended to use Cryo and Pyro characters in the fight with this boss, as this type of damage makes it easier to deal with the pressure of the electrical enemy. It is advisable to include the main and additional attacking heroes, as well as two supporting characters, in the team. Surely someone must have a long-range weapon that can easily destroy seeds and deal damage from afar:
- Main Offensive Hero – Eola, Ayaka, Hu Tao, Dilyuk and Eimiya.
- Extra Attacking Hero Rosiria, Ye Lan, Xiang Ling and Gan Yu.
- Support Hero Qi Qi, Bennett, Kokomi, Zhong Li and Dione.
If everything is simple with the choice of two attacking heroes (we take each pumped up character and go into battle), then as support heroes we recommend paying attention to those who can heal and apply shields. In the first case, the entire party will be able to quickly replenish the missing health, and in the second, they can cast an impenetrable aura and defend themselves from Electro Fern’s powerful attacks.
