Chinese tech giant NetEase has announced the purchase of Quantic Dream, authors Detroit: become human, Beyond: Two Souls and heavy rain. The amount of the transaction has not been disclosed.
Quantic Dream has been operating as an independent studio for 25 years. The NetEase deal will allow the studio to release more exciting next-generation games, work on multiple projects and release activities, management said. At the same time, the new owner promises to keep creative freedom and not to interfere in the work process.
