Researchers at the University of Eastern Finland discovered the causes of the phenomenon, which they termed “gamer craze” in children. It turned out that they are quite banal.
Judging by the results, kid gamers are upset about game failures, last minute losses, as well as the actions of newcomers in team games, which resulted in the team being defeated. A similar reaction is caused by fraud.
Other reasons can include breaks outside the game (for example, when parents force you to brush or sit down for classes), as well as technical issues, such as slow internet connection or server bugs.
Among the contributing factors, researchers cite children’s problems at school, having a bad day or feeling hungry. As for the reactions of a child gamer, they are also typical – throw the controller, kick something or leave the game.
