According to GLHF portal sources, Amazon is preparing to buy Electronic Arts. The amount of the transaction will not be disclosed. It is expected to be officially announced today.
Journalists noted that rumors of the takeover had been circulating for several weeks. In addition to Amazon, potential buyers were Apple and Disney, among others.
If regulators approve the deal, Amazon could bring many franchises to the screen, including Mass Effect and Dragon Age. The company has previously said it is not against making a series about John Shepard.
