Rockstar plans to expand the storyline GTA 6 after the game’s release. This was reported by a Tez2 insider, who talks about behind-the-scenes development from time to time.
According to an insider, Rockstar took the mistakes into account GTA 5. Initially, the fifth installment was also supposed to receive a few story DLCs, but they had to be canceled to support GTA Online.
The first wave of “new cities and missions” that will be released as part of the DLC will certainly be planned before the release of GTA VI. And Rockstar will be able to allocate resources for every new game they’re working on after the sixth installment is released.
As for the cities, I think for the most part it will be “instances” like Cayo Perico or North Yankton. So Rockstar can release a new heist for the next GTA Online with each new DLC.
News about DLC cities has been around for a long time. They were confirmed by Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier in late July. According to his sources, the events will take place in modern Vice City and the main characters will be a couple inspired by the story of Bonnie and Clyde.
