Activision has landed in a new skins scandal for Call of Duty: Warzone and Forefront. The developers recently released a Doomsayer skin that turns the operator into a futuristic soldier with a glowing mask that hides a bare skull. Astute users noted that a similar character should appear in an online shooter Dead drop.

Remarkably, former Infinity Ward employee Robert Bowling is also working on Deaddrop. He acknowledged the similarities leave message on Twitter: “At least name it after me“.

However, PC Gamer noted that the image itself is hardly unique. Heroes with skulls have appeared repeatedly as in Call of Duty (Ghost from Modern Warfare 2, Corruptive Enigma skin), as well as in movies and other media.

Activision has not yet responded to allegations of plagiarism. At the end of July, the publisher apologized for the skin of a fluffy Samoyed fighter, which was copied from an Asian artist. Origin paid payments for Russians – now they can be made through YuMoney.
