Nothing lasts forever, except those who wait Hollow Knight: Silksong fans to at least get a piece of information out of Team Cherry. A recent mysterious post from one of the developers has once again dashed the community’s hopes for a quick release.
Let’s not forget that on January 16, William Pellen published a strange message in which players saw a hint about the date of the demonstration of Hollow Knight: Silksong. Basically, the developer changed his profile picture to a photo of a chocolate cake, edited his nickname and referenced the song Eyes Closed by Imagine Dragons. After doing their research, fans came up with a date – April 2 – that coincided with the date of the upcoming Nintendo Direct. Putting two and two together, the players came to the conclusion that William Pellen was teasing Silksong’s presentation during the presentation.
However, a popular Hollow Knight blogger nicknamed firebOrn contacted Team Cherry’s community manager, who debunked the theory and confirmed that the developer’s message was “dummy.”

After this, a real fire broke out in the Hollow Knight: Silksong community on Reddit: one of the fans published a viral post stating that he had to reach Team Cherry at all costs. According to him, the developers showed a blatant disrespect for the fans by carrying out outright trolling and reporting something important through third parties. The post collected almost 8,000 upvotes and even produced the first results – the Leth community manager came to the players on Discord and routinely confirmed that development was going according to plan.

However, this can hardly be called a victory, as the release date of Hollow Knight: Silksong has remained unannounced. Let us remind you that the game has been in development since 2019 and still has no release date. However, Bloomberg columnist Jason Schreier is confident that the platform game will still be released in 2025.
