Medallions first appear in the fifth chapter of the first season and return again Fortnite (Chapter 6, Season 1). At the very beginning of the season, players could only obtain two medallions: the Wanderer’s Medallion and the Night Rose Medallion. With the addition of Godzilla on January 17, a third medallion was added to the game. In this guide, we’ll explain how medallions work in Fortnite and where you can find them.
What medallions are there in Fortnite (Chapter 6, Season 1)
Medallions are buffs dropped by bosses that provide various boosts. The following medallions are available in Fortnite Season 1 Chapter 6:
- Wanderers medallion: Dropped by a defeated Shogun X. Grants infinite stamina and invisibility while running.
- Medallion of the Night Rose: appears after defeating Night Rose. Allows weapons to reload automatically.
- Godzilla Medallion: falls from the enemy of the same name and allows you to charge the dashboard.

What you need to know about medallions
- Medallions do not take up inventory space because, like gold, they have a separate slot in the bag.
- To get the medallion, you must defeat the boss guarding it. When you approach them, the boss’s health bar will appear on the screen and a corresponding icon will appear on the mini-map.
- Unlike other NPCs, bosses have minions that attack you when they encounter you. However, you can first explore other places on the map and prepare for battle, only after returning to the boss for the medallion.
- Boss minions don’t shoot very accurately, just like stormtroopers from Star Wars, so you don’t have to worry about that. Prepare a good weapon and focus on the boss to get the medallion. Keep in mind that bosses regularly regenerate shields, making defeating them a major challenge.
- If an orange or gold circle is visible on the map, it means the player has a medallion in that area. You can eliminate this player to get the medallion for yourself.
How to get all the medallions
In Fortnite Season 1 Chapter 6, medallion-dropping bosses can be found in the following locations.
Night Rose

- Location: Demon Dojo.
- Oddity: Beware of the ghostly Shadow of the Night Rose when you battle her. The battle consists of multiple phases, first with Night Rose and then with her flying oni puppeteer head. Defeat her to receive the Night Rose Medallion.
Shogun X

- Location: Appears at a random location on the island. Find the Oni Mask icon on the map.
- Oddity: Shogun X initially drops a random mythic weapon. The final version of the boss appears on the fourth circle of the storm. After defeating him, you will receive the Wanderer Medallion and the Fire Oni Mask.
Godzilla

- Location: Appears randomly after the first Storm Circle begins to shrink. Keep an eye out for the Godzilla icon on the map.
- Oddity: Keep your distance and shoot the glowing spikes on his back for extra damage. If you manage to do the most damage, you’ll receive Godzilla’s Medallion and Burst Quad Launcher.
Now you know how to find all the medallions in Fortnite. Keep in mind that each of the bosses mentioned above requires a unique strategy to defeat. If you notice an inaccuracy or want to supplement the guide, you can write about it in the comments below the material.
