A new video has appeared on the Elbrus PC Play YouTube channel, showing the launch of games cyberpunk 2077, Grand Theft Auto 5, The Witcher 3 and Doom 2016 on a computer with an Elbrus-8C processor operating at a frequency of 1.3 GHz. The system was also equipped with 32 GB of RAM and a Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics card. But it was the processor that proved to be the “weak link”.
The results were:
- The Witcher 3 produced about 21 FPS, in battle the figure dropped to 15-20 with shots up to 10-11 frames per second.
- In Cyberpunk 2077 – 10-20 FPS with shots up to 1-2 FPS.
- DOOM (2016) the number of frames per second was 30-40 FPS.
- GTA 5 – 10-20 FPS.
All this was launched on Windows 10 in binary translation mode, or, more simply, emulation. Given this, such a low frame rate is not surprising, as some of the processor resources were spent on broadcasting.
So the game possibilities of Elbrus turned out to be quite good. Microsoft and Sony will complicate the purchase of games from Turkish accounts – the owners of the PlayStation and Xbox tense
