Guides for STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl
To unlock these caches, you must first complete the main mission A Needle in a Haystack. Once you complete these, a side quest should be unlocked. When you open your own cache in Zalissya, you will receive a flash drive from a journalist.
Once you start the side quest Seek, And You Shall Find, all cache locations marked on your map will become available to you. But finding them is a serious task that will force you to fight your way through scorched forests, irradiated wastelands and treacherous swamps. In this guide, we’ll tell you how to get to all the journalist hideouts in Stalker 2.

Sphere, small zone
You can find this cache in the southeast of the Small Zone, at a location called Sphere. You will be taken to this area as part of the main mission Behind Seven Seals, but you can visit it at any time. Go to the northwest corner of the complex and follow the outer wall east to a small building with stairs on the west side. Climb up and you’ll find shelter on the roof near some rusty pipes. Inside you will find AR416 Monolith And PDA with an audio log.
Detention center, dumping ground
This cache is located east of the Detention Center, in the far south of the Dump region. Head west along the road from the center. Keep an eye on the right side to avoid missing the abandoned blue and white bus among the rubble. The cache is located inside and contains M860.
Labyrinth, waste
You will find this cache in an interesting spot called the Maze, located northwest of the slag heap in the Dump region. Follow the path to the Labyrinth, destroying any mutated rats that appear along the way. Note the red tank. Use the rubble on the right to climb to the top of the tank, then jump down the other side. The cache is located on the ground next to the green tram. Seek him to get Tourist suitone of the best early game costumes you can find.

Enter the building from the east. Use the bolts to remove the deviations inside. The cache is located in the back, next to the green bunk beds. Inside you will find a gun Riemann Integral-A And ammunition.
Janov station, Janov
This journalistic cache is located on the trains at the train station directly east of Yaniv Station in the Yaniv region, located in the northwest of the map, sandwiched between the Red Forest and Pripyat. Go to the map marker and break the lock on the train. Go inside and search the cache to get a weapon. Model competitor and some ammunition.
Army warehouses, chemical plant
This cache is located at the Army Warehouses POI in the southern region of the chemical plant, northwest of the Small Zone. Go to the cache map marker and you will find a mutant building outside. Take them out, then use the yellow rusty truck on the right to reach the awning over the front door of the building, then jump through the window. Turn left and then left again into a room with half a wall and you will find a cache with a weapon Fora-221 lullaby along with cartridges 5.45x39mm PS.
Rozyzdzhe, Burnt forest
The journalist’s cache is located in Rozyizhdzhe, in the northwestern corner of the Burnt Forest region. Walk towards the map marker and you will find yourself near some burned out and abandoned ruins. Mutants and anomalies are everywhere here, so you have to get in and out quickly. Go to the westernmost ruins and use the stairs to reach the basement. There’s a thermal anomaly down there called Poltergeist. We recommend destroying it by shooting the flaming spot. The cache is in the second room and contains a suit SSP-100M SIRCAA.
Settlement, swamps
You can find this cache in Horodyshche Hamlet, in the southeastern marsh region. Walk to the marker on the map and you will reach a small village consisting of several abandoned wooden buildings. Swamp, South
You will find this cache in the Swamp (South). Follow the main storyline to find this place. Enter the partially collapsed building. The cache is on the floor next to the bunk bed. Open the chest to find an extremely valuable specimen Wanderer suit.
Bow
This is where it gets tricky. The game won’t give you too many problems when it comes to other caches. However, this one is a problem because it is in a fortified area. You can’t enter through the main gate because snipers will shoot you. However, you can infiltrate by entering the courtyard from the southeastern part of the large base. It is located a little further from the fortified part, so snipers cannot kill your character immediately.
Note 1: we were able to reach this area by completing the so-called main mission “Happiness for everyone”. We cannot confirm whether it is possible to safely enter the southeastern part of the base earlier in the campaign.
Note 2: If you are in the middle of the quest “Happiness for All”, your goal is to defeat the patrolling troops and talk to Star in the building. You need to enter the building quickly, so don’t search the journalist’s hideout at this time!
You can go to the journalist’s hideout before entering the sewers to complete the main objective.
Go to the armory. However, a mutant is waiting for you there. This will not be an easy fight, because the enemy can use the thrown (and your) weapon against you. Once you’re finally done with this enemy, activate the generator on the left side of the building.
Visit the control room upstairs to interact with the switch there and unlock the gate so you can get the loot from the locker. You will receive an assault rifle SA-U Gabon. You can also take a suit SEVA-I from the nearest safe.
You’re not done yet, because as soon as you grab the flash drive from the remaining journalist, a recording will play telling you that there is one last cache that you can’t get at the iconic location until much later in the story.
Pripyat, a journalist’s secret hideout
This cache from a journalist from Pripyat (Prypiat) can only be obtained towards the end of the walkthrough. But before that, you need to make sure you’ve gotten all the other rewards that reporter Veniamin left behind.
After you obtain your twelfth Journalism Cache, a PDA voice recording will mention that there is a thirteenth chest hidden in Pripyat. It is located on the northern edge of the world map.
Of course, collecting the last remaining reward is no easy task. If you try to go north, you will notice that the path is blocked by a high concrete wall. First you have to complete the so-called main mission “The Border”. You need a device for the search M scanner in the Red Forest and Yanov regions.
At the end of the Frontier mission you can choose whether to give the M-Scanner to Base Commander Yanov or use it in the electrified tunnel. Both paths lead to Pripyat, so make sure you are prepared for the journey.
Follow the journalist’s search icon to find his location. As you walk through the deserted streets of Pripyat, stick to the southern wall until you see an open path. It leads you to a courtyard with a lonely apartment building.
In this building you will have to fight numerous enemies. Near the top floor of the apartment you will come across a keyboard. Enter code: 2-0-2-1.
Now you can collect your rewards. Lying here M860 cracker And PTMbut the box itself is on the balcony. This is included:

Benjamin also left a message on the wall.
