The developers of Bloober Team proved to be quite loyal to their audience. Today the studio released a new patch for the remake Silent Hill 2 with cut content that players wanted to restore.
Even at launch, some gamers had access to an early version of the game, dated April 16. It had some significant differences from the release version, but the major omission according to players was the lack of animated walls in the battle with Abstract Daddy. If they “breathed” during the spring build, the animation disappeared sometime after the game released. You can see an example in the video below (timecode 14:12).
In response to fan requests, the Bloober team has put this creepy detail back in place. Its mention can be found in the patch note for the latest update.
The Silent Hill 2 remake fixed a series of bugs, such as Maria’s navigation, trophy counting, an exploit in the Labyrinth and the disappearance of the final boss, among other things, and also fixed problems with the graphics on the PlayStation 5 Pro.
Previously, one of the game’s fans released a mod that turns Silent Hill 2 into a VR action game. And before that, a funny video was released showing the battle between Pyramid Head and the assassin John Wick, who ended up in the game.
