Roskomnadzor sent demands to the Twitch administration to remove false information and content related to banned substances from the site. Russian media reported this.
“A number of materials posted on the Twitch site have been included in the registry of prohibited information and remain unremoved. This includes pro-drug content and false information. The department has sent demands to the owner of the Internet service regarding the need to remove prohibited material.”said Roskomnadzor.
It is worth noting that the streaming service was previously brought under administrative responsibility and received several fines totaling 40 million rubles.
Let’s not forget that Roskomnadzor recently restricted access to Cloudflare, making thousands of sites inaccessible to Russian users. There was also information online that Twitch could still be blocked in Russia.
