Background: A remake of the game about Sherlock Holmes and Cthulhu has been announced – the first screenshotsAfter a small portion of screenshots, the Ukrainian studio Frogwares presented a full-fledged trailer Sherlock Holmes The Awakened – a new game about the famous detective and a remake of the 2007 adventure quest.
The Awakened combines Arthur Conan Doyle’s stories with Howard Lovecraft’s Cthulhu myths. The average Metacritic score is 72.
In the video, Holmes and Watson try to hide from the police. Soon the sheriff stops the chase – it seems the heroes have swum too far and are unlikely to return alive.
The events of the game will unfold a few years after the finale Sherlock Holmes Chapter One. Holmes and Watson are still roommates for now, but a new adventure will bring the heroes together and turn them into the legendary duo 221B Baker Street. According to the plot, the heroes go in search of cult members who worship an ancient sea creature.
A fundraiser began along with the video’s premiere on Kickstarter. To complete the development, the studio still needs 70 thousand euros.
