About a year ago the game “Epic” was announced (The Epic) based on Slavic mythology. It was presented by Far-Far Games studio. And now something new became known about the project.
Initially, the project was made on Unreal Engine 4, but now they have moved on to Unreal Engine 5. The concept of the game has changed, as has the combat system. From now on, Epic will use combat mechanics from classic action RPGs, not Souls-style games.
Changes have also been made in the concept of the world – if previously the intention was to combine the world around with the Slavic counterparts of heaven and hell, now only reality remains. However, the monsters aren’t going anywhere.
It is also noted that the world called Gardarika has its own life and the player’s actions do not always affect him. In this regard, the authors compare the world of the game with “Space Guardians.”
