Technical experts at Digital Foundry continue to explore the possibilities of the PS5 Pro. A new video recently appeared on the YouTube channel, showcasing what the new Sony console is capable of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
The video compared the game on PS5 and PS5 Pro. On the base console, the performance mode has some issues with graphical details. Many objects look blurry, but on PS5 Pro this is not the case. The image looks detailed without sacrificing frame rate; the game runs at a stable 60 FPS.
The video also compared the game on PS5 Pro and PS5 in graphic mode. Here the difference is not so noticeable, but still the details of objects on the new Sony console are higher than on the base model. This is clearly visible in the example of hair demonstration.
Visual effects also didn’t go unnoticed, even in dynamic scenes. On PS5 Pro, images are sharper and less blurry during intense battles.
Digital Foundry believes that the PS5 Pro offers improved image quality without a significant drop in FPS. Among the shortcomings noted are only minor issues with foliage and lighting.
Let’s not forget that PS5 Pro was announced this month. It is scheduled for release on November 7 this year (with an official price of $700 in the US and €800 in Europe). Earlier, a technical expert from Digital Foundry said whether the new console could be launched GTA 6 in 4K and 60 FPS.
