The Epic Games Store closed the possibility of pre-ordering a space horror movie The Callisto Protocol for gamers from Russia. The game can not be added to the basket, and both the basic version (it does not even have a price tag attached to it) and the Day One Edition version for 1299 rubles. There are no official comments yet.
At the same time, the game is also available for Russians on Steam, but the price is much higher – the Day One Edition version costs 3645 rubles, and the Digital Deluxe Edition costs a whopping 4860 rubles.
The plot of the game tells of the events in 2320, they will unfold on Callisto, one of the moons of Jupiter. You play as Jacob Lee, an inmate of the Black Iron space prison. An unknown disaster turned other criminals and overseers into monsters.
The game is inspired by the Dead Space trilogy and uses similar game mechanics, visual style and gameplay approach.
The Callisto Protocol will be released on December 2, 2022 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC. New gameplay has already been shown online.
