Headlight Studio has released a new video featuring gameplay from a post-apocalyptic survival simulator Rooted, which is currently in alpha testing.
The video showed the exploration of locations using a drone, which is now available in the new alpha build (0.0.2.33). According to the developers, the drone is not only needed to show post-apocalyptic landscapes, but also to place markers that indicate certain location points. This can be useful when working together with other players.
The main action of Rooted takes place in 2100. Humanity has been nearly wiped out by global germ warfare, forcing the survivors to wander the ruins of a former civilization in search of supplies.
Features include a diverse open world, multiplayer (you can also play alone), as well as a well-developed construction and crafting system.
“From the forest to the city center: explore a vibrant open world that evolves with your actions. Over time, you’ll gain access to new areas, new items, and new crafting options. Major events will impact the world and create new challenges for you and your friends. You need to be ready”says the description.
