iPhone 16, Apple Watch Series 10 and AirPods 4: What was shown at Apple’s September conference

The new Apple Watch turned out to be much thinner than its predecessor: only 9.7 mm. The two-inch OLED display is 40% brighter than the previous version and the chip now uses an Apple S10 with four Neural Engine cores. With speakers, you can listen to music without headphones and talk to someone else. Unique features include tracking apnea and irregular breathing during sleep. Titanium is now used as a material for the case. The price of the new Apple Watch Series 10 is $ 400.

There’s also a higher-end version of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 with a luxury version of the Hermes band for $800. Both new items go on sale September 20.

The new generation of Apple headphones uses the H2 chip, which offers personalization of sound for each user. In particular, music and sounds automatically adapt to the environment, there is a special mode for communication on the street and the ability to answer the phone with a nod. In addition, they promise a deep bass sound.

The regular version will retail for $130, and the upgraded version for $170, with active noise cancellation. Previously, only the pro version of Apple headphones had this feature. And for the new ear cushion AirPods Max, they ask you $549. Among the new products, AirPods Pro 2 are also announced. All types of headsets will go on sale on September 20.

The new Apple phone will be made of aerospace-grade aluminum. The display will be protected by Ceramic Shield glass with improved scratch and chip resistance, which is 50% stronger than that of the iPhone 15. The smartphone will get two new buttons. The first one, called Camera Control, will allow you to use the camera directly for photos and videos, while the functions of the second (Action button) will be configurable by the user. After recording a video, you can change the sound and make it more cinematic.

Also notable is the six-core Apple A18 processor and two cameras of 48 and 12 megapixels, which can shoot in 4K resolution at 120 FPS. Declared support for slo-mo mode. However, the main feature of the iPhone 16 is the use of the Apple Intelligence artificial intelligence system. Its task is to select functions for the individual preferences of a particular user. Testing of neural networks will begin in October. It can replace Google Glass: you can point the camera at an object and get all the information about it or solve a problem. Initially, there will be support for English only, but by the end of 2024 the AI ​​will learn to recognize German, French and Chinese. We talked more about Apple Intelligence in a separate article.

The base iPhone 16 costs $800, with the Plus version costing $900. There will also be a 6.3-inch iPhone 16 Pro and a $1,000 iPhone 16 Pro Max with a 6.9-inch display for $1,200. The Pro versions come with an A18Pro processor, a titanium body, and improved microphones for surround sound recording.
