Cult RPG TES 5: Skyrim received another set of 4K textures. This time, using the ESRGAN neural network, the modder decided to “pump” the graphics from the original PC version released in 2011. To demonstrate the mod, the author posted a video and several screenshots with a comparison.
The change increases the resolution of all roleplay textures by 16 times, while preserving the original art style. The mod turned out to be quite heavy – its size is 19 GB. For the texture pack to work properly, the enthusiast recommends running the game at maximum graphics settings in 2K resolution on a video card with 4 GB memory.
