A new video has appeared on the TeaserPlay YouTube channel showing what a modern remake could look like bully.
The video’s authors recreated some of the game’s locations and characters on the latest Unreal Engine 5. Ray tracing, Lumen global lighting systems, and virtualized Nanite geometry were used in the work. The characters were created using the MetaHuman Creator toolkit.

The original game was released in 2006, it is outdated nowadays. And that’s why the models reworked by the TeaserPlay team naturally look more detailed. But in terms of quality, it’s still not what we’d expect from a true remake of a Rockstar game. They shot the video, noting that they have no plans to release a change to the original, and the video is just a wish to showcase the new engine’s capabilities.
