Naughty Dog published a ten minute video on The Last of Us: Part 1, where she talked about the features of the remake and showed the gameplay. The release will take place on September 2 on PS5.
The idea of ”ennobling” the first part came to my mind while doing flashback scenes for the second part. According to Neil Druckmann, the team was immediately on fire with the idea of releasing a game that would be at least as beautiful (or perhaps more beautiful) as The Last of Us: Part 2.
The developers have improved not only the graphics (there is a frame comparison in the video), but also the physical model, the behavior of opponents and the transitions between animations. Some of the mechanics from the first part are also involved: weapon upgrades and a one-death mode, for example.
