How to use the Suno AI neural network

Suno AI is a program that makes music based on text queries. In April 2023, it became available to everyone, and on July 1 of this year, a version for mobile phones and tablets was released. In this guide, we will show you how to record your own songs with Suno.

First of all, you need to register on the official website Suno.com. To do this, click on the button Make a number in the upper-right corner of the screen. You will need to link your Google account, Microsoft profile, Discord credentials, or Apple ID to your account. An alternative option is to enter a phone number. Please note that users from Russia can use Suno AI without any restrictions.

After this you will be directed to the main page where you can record music and more.

In the “Home” section, located in the upper left corner, you will find songs from other users. The Library folder contains your entries. And in the Explore catalog you will find representatives of new music genres created using Sona AI.

If you want to create your own music, select Create.

At the top you will see “Order” (Custom). This opens up access to advanced settings, which we will discuss below. Just below that is the “Instrumental” switch. Turn it on if you don’t need vocals in your music.

In the “Song description” field, you can write text that characterizes your music. The neural network accepts not only English, but also Russian. It is advisable to write as many words as possible, otherwise you will get too standard a composition. For example, we entered the phrase “Fast rock with melodic vocals” and got something that reminded us of the work of the group “Ranetki”. And the words “Heavy rock in an orchestral arrangement with elements of electronics and a male voice” gave away the song in the style of “Aria”. Please note that the singer sings in the song in the same language in which you submitted the request.

If you can’t get the results you want with a text query, open the advanced settings. The custom slider is responsible for this.

In the “Lyrics” menu you can write the words that will sound in your composition. The function also works in Russian, but the singer will have a pronounced accent. With English letters, such problems will not arise. Limit: 3000 letters. The program itself can create the lyrics for the song. To do this, select Create random lyrics.

If you make a song yourself, it is advisable to separate the verses and choruses. The teams are responsible for this [Verse] And [Chorus] respectively. These tags should be placed above the lyrics of choruses and verses. Within a song, you can set a guitar solo ([Guitar Solo]), a number of separate parts ([Bridge]), male ([Male Singer]) and feminine ([Female Singer]) votes, as well as an introduction ([Intro]) and completion ([Outro]). Commands are entered between square brackets, without round brackets.

In the Music Style window you can set the genre. If desired, you can choose multiple directions at once to get something unique. For example, the combination of country, heavy metal and jazz turned out to be very interesting.

“Title” allows you to choose what your track will be called for other users when you open access to it.

To the right of each song there is a separate menu. The “Public” lever allows you to place the composition in the Sona library, where everyone can get acquainted with it. The second icon on the right allows you to copy the link to the song and then place it on the site. Three dots open a menu where you can download music (Download), add it to a playlist (Add to playlist) or to local radio (Go to Song Radio), and delete it (Move to trash).

You are given 10 songs per day for free. The Pro Plan ($10 per month) increases this number to 500 songs and opens up the possibility of commercial use of your music. If this is not enough for you, you can purchase additional credits separately, which you can spend on creating new compositions. Or you can upgrade to the Premier Plan ($30 per month), which increases the song limit to 2,000 per day.
