Not a day without news about Assassin’s Creed: Shadows! Not so long ago, loud news spread across the Internet that the Japanese authorities could ban the sale of the game because the developers do not respect the culture of the country. Days later, the government responded to the scandal, but not in the way that critics wanted.

Only the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports gave a relatively detailed answer. Its representatives noted only that in order for a game to be banned, it must violate public order and morality. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs refused to comment on the game, as it is involved in diplomatic affairs and not in electronic entertainment. The Ministry of Economic Affairs also decided to refrain from commenting.

Incidentally, Ubisoft itself has already apologized to Japanese players. The company said it would try to correct errors in the promotional material, but at the same time reminded that Shadows is a work of fiction.

Assassin’s Creed: Shadows will be released on November 15 on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5.
