One of the first heroes in The Wuthering waves you encounter along the way are Chixia. The owner of a powerful pistol will soon join your team completely free of charge. In this guide we have collected the best builds for Chixia and with her participation also described all available skills and effective units.
Dear Chixia builds in strangling waves
While Chixia isn’t one of the strongest companions in the game, fully leveling up will allow you to use the heroine as a DPS in the later stages of the game. But first of all, it is ideal to start until more powerful resonators appear in your team. Below are the best builds for the heroine: weapons, echoes and units.
Best weapon for Chixia

Static fog is a powerful 5-star pistol that significantly increases Chixia’s critical hit rate and increases her energy regeneration. But since the heroine is best revealed in the early stages of the game, you probably won’t have this weapon. Alternatively you can use 4 stars Lightning strike. This gun increases the damage bonus of the Resonance skill up to three times by 7% when landing basic or heavy attacks that you will often use on this character.
Best basic ultrasound

Echo Inferno Rider ideal for Chixia. This allows you to land consecutive hits that deal fusion damage while increasing your current character’s damage and base attack. This makes him by far the best choice for this hero.
Best echo sonata effect
In the initial stages, it is important to maximize the damage Chixia causes. The best way to achieve this is to use a kit Molten Rift. As a full five-piece set, this set increases fusion damage by 30% after using the Resonance skill, allowing the heroine to deal consistently high damage for an extended period of time. Therefore, it is not recommended to combine this effect with others – it is best to focus exclusively on Molten Rift.
Best units with Chixia
- Robber, Sanhua, Taoqi;
- Baizhi, Verina;
- Chixia.
Chixia is best used as a DPS main character at low levels. You probably won’t have many resonators to choose from at first, so a great team would be to team Chixia with Rover as an additional fighter and Baizhi as a supporting character, as all of these characters can be unlocked through the main story. If you have more resources and opportunities in the future, please replace Baizhi with a 5-star Verinaand Rover to another sub-DPS such as Sanhua or Taoqi. This creates a more powerful and balanced team, in which Cixia will continue to play an important role.

- Rover starts the battle and charges Concert Energy until the other character’s Resonator icons activate.
- When Chixia is fully charged, switch places with Chixia. At this point, Rover’s finishing ability, Time Stop, should activate, slowing down time by 3 seconds.
- Use the Resonance skill (hold) to deal damage. It will be easy to hit targets because they are at a standstill. Use her Ultimate, if available, to finish off enemies not affected by the Resonance skill. Also use an equipped Echo if it is not on cooldown.
- Switch back to Rover once Concerto Energy is fully charged. If healing is needed, switch places with your healer and use his skills to quickly restore health.
- Repeat the steps until the enemy is defeated.
Active skills

- Basic attack: the hero fires up to four consecutive shots that deal fusion damage. Using a heavy attack puts her in aim mode, allowing her to fire a more powerful shot. A fully charged shot also causes fusion damage. The air attack requires stamina and allows you to shoot and deal damage in the air. Additionally, using a basic attack after a successful dodge causes damage to the target.
- Resonance Skill: Chixia fires a series of shots that deal fusion damage.
- Resonant Release: the hero quickly shoots at all nearby enemies.
- Introductory Skill: Cixia fires two pistols at nearby targets.
- Outro Skill: The character releases a shockwave around the target, dealing fusion damage to enemies in the area of effect. Damage scales based on Chixia’s attack stat.
Passive skills

- Forte circuit: Chixia can hold up to 60 thermobaric bullets, which can be obtained with her normal attacks, starting ability, and resonance ability. The Scorching Magazine skill can increase the maximum number of thermobaric bullets by 10. When Whistling Morale mode is activated, Chixia enters a “DAKA DAKA!” state where she uses thermobaric bullets to deal damage. If 30 thermobaric rounds were fired when her basic attack was activated, the Resonance skill will activate and this mode will end. It will also end when the thermobaric bullets run out. As an added bonus, Chixia will deal fusion damage when she uses her Resonance ability.
- Innate Skill 1: Chixia’s maximum number of thermobaric bullets has been increased by 10 and the damage of her Resonance ability has been increased by 50%.
- Innate Skill 2: Every thermobaric bullet that hits a target during DAKA DAKA! increases the damage of Chixia’s attacks by 1% for 10 seconds. This effect can be stacked up to 30 times.
Resonant circuit skills
- First node – Hero Game Fan: Chixia’s Resonance ability is always a critical hit.
- Second node – Bouncing Glitter: Chixia regains 5 Resonance Energy each time a target is defeated during Resonance Release. This can happen up to 4 times per Resonance Release.
- Third node – Eternal Flame: Chixia’s Resonant Liberation deals 40% more damage to targets under 50% health.
- Fourth node — Hero’s Key Move: Chixia’s Resonance Release grants 60 thermobaric bullets and resets her Resonance’s cooldown.
- Fifth node – Triumphal Explosions: When the innate ability “Stunningly Sharp!” reaches the maximum number of stacks, Chixia’s attack increases by another 30%.
- Sixth node – Easter Egg Presentation: Chixia’s Resonance increases base attack damage bonus by 25% for all team members for 15 seconds.
Chixia’s strengths and weaknesses

- Easy to master combinations.
- The ultimate ability works great against a large number of opponents.
- High mobility.
- It is impossible to maximize resonance output against bosses.
- To survive you must constantly move and dodge in time.
- It is impossible to use some skills if there is no cost for the Resonance skill.
Play as Chixia in Wuthering Waves
Chixia is a fusion resonator whose main purpose is to cause maximum damage. First of all, you need to focus on increasing her fusion damage and critical damage. If you have Chixia available at S1, pay more attention to critical damage, as her Resonance skill is guaranteed to deal a lot of critical hits at this level.

Chiskia’s strengths are crucial in combat, as she is a skill-oriented sounding board. To maximize her fusion damage, players should focus on her basic skill, followed by her strong chain and resonance skills:
- Basic Skill: The main source of damage that should be developed first.
- Strong chain: An important skill for dealing consistent damage and increasing efficiency.
- Resonance: This allows you to deal extra damage and improve other skills.
By focusing on these skills, you can maximize Chiskia’s potential and make her a powerful fighter on the battlefield.
As a pistol user, Ciccia excels at long-range attacks. To play this hero effectively, you’ll need to master the Forte Circuit system, which may seem confusing at first.
First, you’ll need to use basic attacks and the Resonance skill repeatedly to max out your power meter. Using these attacks will give you thermobaric bullets that are used in her power cycle. It is useful to wait until her Intro skill is fully charged before switching to Chixia.

Once your Toughness Gauge is full, you can unleash a powerful barrage of bullets that deal fusion damage while holding the Resonance skill. After using at least 30 bullets, you can use a basic attack as the final move that ends this mode. Then go back to using basic attacks and the Resonance skill to charge your Toughness Gauge and repeat the cycle.
If you plan to use Chixia long-term, it is worth obtaining duplicates of it. This unblocks the nodes in her resonant circuit, especially the fourth node. This bonus instantly replenishes your Thermobaric Bullets and resets the cooldown of her Resonance Skill when using Chixia’s Resonance Release, greatly increasing her ability to deal consistent and powerful damage.
