A unique Apple iPod prototype has been discovered that never made it into production.

The author of the YouTube channel Apple Demo got his hands on a rare prototype of the third generation iPod player, the design of which was rejected by Apple. There are even three games stored on the device, including a Tetris clone.

The software on the iPod barely worked, but the blogger was able to fix it. Judging by the inscription DVT (“Design Validity Verification”) on the case, the device was in the middle stage of development. Most likely, the player was used to test the battery, as a few classical compositions by Mozart were found in memory.
