The author of the YouTube channel Apple Demo got his hands on a rare prototype of the third generation iPod player, the design of which was rejected by Apple. There are even three games stored on the device, including a Tetris clone.
The software on the iPod barely worked, but the blogger was able to fix it. Judging by the inscription DVT (“Design Validity Verification”) on the case, the device was in the middle stage of development. Most likely, the player was used to test the battery, as a few classical compositions by Mozart were found in memory.

The enthusiast was also able to find three never-before-seen games: Block0, Klondike and Stacker. The first two failed to launch, but the last was demonstrated on video. It is remarkable that Stacker turned out to be a clone of the popular Tetris.
The author of Apple Demo decided to find out the history of the unreleased game directly from the former vice president of the Apple iPod division, Tony Fadell. The answer was: “Because we have already added games with later software releases.” As The Verge noted, the company actually added the game to the “classic” versions of the iPod, but not a clone, but a licensed Tetris.
