Appearance and functionality
Infinix NOTE 14 uses a 6.78-inch bright AMOLED display with support for a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, a resolution of 1080 by 2436 pixels and a 10-bit matrix. There is a neat cutout at the top for the front camera. There is no protective film stuck to the surface from the factory, but the package includes protective glass and a kit for its installation. Additionally, the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, but extra armor certainly wouldn’t hurt.

The screen with narrow frames of 2.1 mm is quite responsive and contrasty – in both 60 Hz and 120 Hz mode, no flickering, dragging or shaking was noticed, neither in the shell itself nor in games. The indicated brightness is 1300 nits and this is sufficient for use on a sunny day.
With the included MagCharge case, you can charge your device wirelessly with a power of 20 W. The smartphone is equipped with a new chip from the company Cheetah X1, which can charge quickly and optimize it for maximum battery protection. When using a conventional charging unit, the charger receives 45 W of power.
In hyper mode you can charge the NOTE for 40 to 50% in 20 minutes. In smart mode – for 26, and thanks to the low charging temperature mode you can extend battery life. All options are available to the user in the settings.
With daily use, the 5000 mAh battery lasts a day. In games – for 2 hours without the maximum screen brightness. The device also supports bypass charging, so you can game for a long time by simply connecting your smartphone via a cable.
The Infinix NOTE 40 has a flat design without unnecessary curves. On the rear panel there is a camera block: a 108 MP main module, a 2 MP depth sensor, a 0.02 MP light sensor and a bright ring flash lamp. In the black color (though more likely gray) from the review, the ring only glows in white; in the gold version it supports RGB backlighting.

The photos are quite contrasty and detailed. Traditionally, in this segment at three times magnification, you can obtain more detail using a cropped matrix. The video modes do well at 60 FPS and 1080 resolution, but the 2K modes here are more for show; they do not provide additional image clarity. Stabilization for the main camera is only enabled at 30 FPS.
At the bottom of the smartphone there is a tray for two SIM cards and a memory card, a USB port and a speaker and microphone hole. There is a hole at the top for the second speaker for stereo sound. On the right side you’ll see the power and volume buttons, and on the left side you’ll find no details.
The Infinix NOTE 14 is powered by the accelerated 6nm MediaTek Helio G99 processor in the Ultimate version. The smartphone received 8 GB of RAM with the option of adding another 8 GB from the built-in memory. The model has enough internal memory for any task – 256 GB. The device uses its own XOS operating system shell based on Android 14.

Performance. Synthetic testing
We tested the performance of Infinix NOTE 14 on AnTuTu, Geekbench and 3DMark. The results are in the screenshots. All tests were performed with default settings.
Performance. Playtesting
The Helio G99 Ultimate chipset and the Mali-G57 MP2 video core can still cope well with the average settings of current games, but you should not expect more: in online shooters and undemanding projects you can get smooth 60 frames, in games like Genshin Impact you will have to lower the settings for the game to 30 FPS.
Results and prizes

Infinix NOTE 40 can be recommended to users who opt for a device with a large, bright screen and thin bezels. The advantages also include the uncluttered design of the smartphone and still sufficient performance for games. A bonus is wireless charging for those who don’t need extra cables.
Perfect construction! The smartphone is quite light, fits comfortably in the hand and its small frame sets it apart from its competitors.
