Arcana cards are a new mechanic introduced in Hades 2 that allows the character to apply certain power-ups. We have collected all arcana cards in one guide Hades 2 and the best of them, which are worth choosing first.
Hades 2 Guides
These cards require Ashes to unlock and vary in rarity. If you want to release more cards at once, you’ll need to upgrade your Grasp meter with Psyche. Both resources can be collected in Erebus or found in the Wrecthed Broker’s shop.
Read on for a full list of all Arcana cards available in Hades 2, recommendations for the best ones, and how to improve them.
All arcana cards
At the time of writing, there are only 25 Arcana cards in Hades 2. To reveal a card, you must first unlock the card next to it on the grid. This means, for example, that to unlock a card in the third row, you must unlock the card above it in the second row.

Most cards require Ash to open and Grip to equip. Your grip meter is indicated by Melinoe’s portrait in the top right corner of the map screen and can be upgraded with Will.
There is a capture fee associated with each card. You can mix and match Arcana cards that you have used between runs.
The following Arcana cards are available in Hades 2:
Me – The sorceress. When you charge your Omega moves, everything around you slows down for 2 seconds.

II – The wayward son. When you leave the location, you regain 2 health. This amount doubles if your health is lower than 30%.

IV – Death. Your Omega Moves have a +3% chance to hit critically.

V – The messenger. With +6% chance you can dodge enemy attacks. Card Power: Play at least 3 cards that cost the same magicka.

The best Arcana cards
Most maps, especially the first ten hours of Hades 2, require Ash to be unlocked first, which is quite common. As you continue to open up the world, you may need to search for much rarer materials, such as those dropped by bosses.
Each card has its own requirements. By default you start with 10 grabs (grabs) to fill, which can be expanded with chasm (chasm), another fairly common material. If you feel like running is getting harder, it might be time to take some time and expand your knowledge so you can use more maps.
The unseen
For an early passage, we recommend investing The unseen, because it will give you magical regeneration. Although it only restores 2 magicka per second, it still provides you with a constant source of magic. This means you can continue using Omega Special Attacks.
The Titan
We also recommend that you unblock the card The Titanto get plus 20 to health and magic. Titanium is quite simple, but virtually mandatory. As you progress, you’ll encounter enemies that can shave 20 HP off you in one fell swoop – an attack like this can be fatal. While you will of course increase your health and magic stats during runs with items from Charon and elsewhere, it’s best to have this advantage from the start.
The Huntress
A great card that should not be ignored. No matter how often you use magical attacks, you’ll probably do it at least once during a battle. Once this happens, your attack and special attack will deal extra damage. Depending on your playstyle, you’ll need to remind yourself of this boost and perform at least one magical attack in every battle so you can get the most out of it. If you are lucky enough to receive gifts that help you replenish your magic, just keep an eye on your total so you can use it when it gets back to 100%.

When you have progressed a little further and have access to the fourth and fifth rows of cards, the card is called Eternity simply necessary. She gives you one death challenge, which is essentially a free extra life. After death you are reborn and gain 40% health and magic. This is important for beating early bosses. You can also upgrade this card twice and take on up to three Death Challenges at once.
The messenger
No effort is required to unlock it. Instead, you must activate at least three cards that use the same grip. You can activate it with the help of the Sorceress, the Prodigal Son and the Swift Runner. Giving yourself a chance to dodge, even if it’s small, can come in handy. There are several items that can increase the percentage even further.
The boatswain
If you have extra grip, then The boatswain – an expensive option that can pay off. Having 200 gold from the start can give you a big advantage and allow you to focus on different rooms during your runs. If you’re someone who always prioritizes rooms with gold as a reward over locations that give you items or gifts, this arcana will make a big difference. You always get more gold coins by defeating enemies, so chances are you’ll already have some change by the time you get to Charon’s shop.
The unseen
If you are a big fan of magic, The unseen – the perfect choice. Gaining back 2 magic points may not seem like much of an achievement, but that’s 2 points per second no matter what you do. Please note that some gifts have similar effects.
power
You shouldn’t consider it power as an encouragement to strike deliberately. However, when you inevitably do, this lasso becomes your saving grace, softening any coming attacks and making you stronger. But this will help you survive difficult battles more than once.
How to Improve Arcana Cards
To upgrade cards, you must complete the storyline far enough to unlock the Consecration of Ashes spell. This will update your Altar and allow you to see updated versions of the cards.

Insights are fueled by Moon Dust, which can be purchased from the Wretched Broker and obtained from Charon in exchange for Obal Points. These points are earned every time you spend 1000 coins in his shop or earn in Hecate’s Cauldron with Cinder and Shadow.
