Boons in Hades 2 are special sets of power-ups that you unlock as you progress through locations and through the story. There are over 100 different boosts in the game, each offering new ways to improve your hero to suit your playstyle. Below we have described the best gifts, divided into categories.
It is also important to know that such boosts can be combined. Gifts received from one deity can be cumulative, resulting in an even more powerful and rare enhancement. For example, if you especially liked the Apollo or Artemis amplifiers, in the future it is advisable to make a choice for locations marked with their symbols.
Gifts to improve basic attacks
The best boosts for increasing attacks or adding extra effects to your attacks are found in Zeus, Hephaestus and Aphrodite. Here is the optimal list of gifts that will suit literally everyone:
- Heavenly Battle (Zeus): Your attacks have a shock effect on enemies. After activating the gift, after a successful attack, enemies receive a status effect, after which they begin to receive damage from lightning bolts (120 damage for 3 seconds);
- Excited Strike (Aphrodite): Your attacks do more damage to nearby enemies. This gift increases the heroine’s close range damage by 80% for normal rarity and 140% for heroic rarity;
- Volcanic attack (Hephaestus): Your attacks periodically cause an explosion, dealing 200 damage to an area. Additionally, the perk’s passive ability will reduce the charge cooldown time.
Gifts to boost additional attacks
The boosts in this section are aimed at strengthening alternative attacks. You can find them with Hestia, Hephaestus and Demeter:
- Flamesweeper (Hestia): Hitting with additional attacks will set enemies on fire. Furthermore, such opponents will take damage over time;
- Ice Sweeper (Demeter): The gift increases the damage of your special attacks and freezes monsters for a few seconds after they deal damage;
- Volcanic scope (Hephaestus): Your special attacks periodically cause an explosion that deals 400 damage in an area. Perfect for fighting large groups of enemies, but also for boss battles.
Gifts to enhance spells and sigils
The gifts in this list allow you to strengthen magical attacks: signs and spells. You will find them in Apollo, Zeus, Hermes and Artemis:
- Storm Ring (Zeus): Your sigil (omega) also summons lightning, which periodically strikes one of the enemies. At base level, each random enemy takes 30 damage every 0.25 seconds;
- Sunning (Apollo): This gift adds area damage. For two seconds after using Omega, each nearby enemy will take up to 25 damage every 0.13 seconds;
- Supernova (Apollo): This allows you to increase the effectiveness of your spells until they expire, up to 70% at heroic rarity.
Gifts to improve the sprint
Such bonuses are aimed at increasing walking speed and obtaining additional effects while sprinting. Poseidon, Apollo, Hestia and Hermes have phenomenal gifts such as:
- Nitro Boost (Hermes): A simple but effective gift that increases your walking speed by 20% and creates a barrier that protects the hero from damage;
- Ashloop (Hestia): When you run, you deflect most of the enemy’s long-range attacks and set fire to the enemies who used them. This is a very useful gift as it can absorb most projectiles thrown at you and can also deal fire damage to enemies who fire these projectiles.
- Stampede (Poseidon): You damage enemies as you encounter them and also knock them back. Each hit costs 5 mana. Useful on levels with a large number of weak enemies (e.g. when exploring the ocean).
Gifts to speed up Magicka’s recovery
Magic gifts are intended to speed up the recovery of the hero’s magic, allowing him to use charged and magical attacks more often. Poseidon, Demeter, Zeus and Hestia provide some of the best boosters in the game:
- Flame Boost (Hestia): Quickly restores mana, but health is reduced by 20%;
- Liquid Boost (Poseidon): By defeating an enemy with a weapon, you can receive a Spirit Orb. Picking up this orb will immediately give you 20 mana back and you can continue spamming charged attacks;
- Enhancing Calmness (Demeter): Restores mana quickly if you stop moving for at least one second. Best used before the next battle.
