In a new leak revealed the expected return of the cult series of racing simulators Need for speed: untetheredbut the novelty graphics surprised fans of the franchise.
Several insiders have revealed a new game from the NFS series at once. It was called Need for Speed: Unbound, but this may just be the project’s working name, so gamers can get a race with a different subtitle before release. So far, insiders don’t have any screenshots or gameplay videos of the new NFS, but they’ve revealed the key feature of the series’ expected return. It turned out that this time the developers decided to add a cartoon style to the arcade racing simulator. Need for Speed: Unbound uses photo-realistic graphics, but the various effects are deliberately exaggerated and drawn in the style of animated films. This applies to smoke, fire, wind currents and other elements. They will occur while drifting, when reaching a very high speed, and so on.
In Need for Speed: Unbound, just like before, there will be a full story. In this case, all characters are drawn in the spirit of cartoons. Insiders claim that the style of the game will be close to the series “Ghetto” (The Boondocks). There are no further details about the story yet. Insiders say all racetracks will have unique features, but there’s no word yet on what that could mean.
Need for Speed: Unbound will also feature multiplayer elements. It is known that there will be special places in the open world where gamers can start “Meetups” (Meetups). Here, players can brag to each other about the design of cars, as well as participate in the race together.
Need for Speed: Unbound will be released in November 2022. An official announcement is expected next month.
