Stardew Valley 1.6 Update Guide – Festivals, Benefits and Other Changes

Stardew Valley is a farming simulator with beautiful cartoon graphics that can be considered a new version of the classic Harvest Moon. You are invited to plant and care for plants, raise livestock, extract minerals, trade and gradually expand your plot. The players liked the simple concept: the project received excellent reviews and sales exceeded 30 million copies. In March 2024, Stardew Valley received a major update 1.6. Remark. Although Stardew Valley has been released on current consoles and mobile devices, update 1.6 is currently only available for the PC version of the game.

Three-day Spring Festival desert will take place in the spring, on the 15th, 16th and 17th. To participate in the event you need a repaired bus. Trout derby takes place in summer, on the 20th and 21st, from 6:10 am to 2:00 am. The desired location is located on the banks of the river in the Sindersap forest, next to Marnie’s ranch. Fishing participants can catch rainbow trout. Along with this, you get the chance to catch a gold tag, which you can exchange at a local store for valuable resources. It is unlikely that you will encounter them with the trout itself or in a box with fishing supplies. To increase your chances of catching fish, we recommend that you prepare a bait making device in advance.

Squid party Held in winter, on the 12th and 13th. Depending on the number of animals you catch, you can get copper, iron, iridium and gold. They must be redeemed in-store for prizes. To increase the chances of successful fishing, it is advisable to make a device for making bait.

Before patch 1.6, Stardew Valley had seven types of farms, each with their own benefits and limitations. The March update adds the Meadow Farm to the game. If you choose, the chewing grass that the cattle love will grow next to you. Plus, you have a chicken coop and two birds from the start. To unlock new benefits, you’ll need to perform some non-obvious actions. First you need to upgrade all basic skills to the maximum tenth level.

You can open it only if your skills are pumped to the limit. In the room you will find five totems that correspond to your skills. In the right corner you see a letter from grandpa. But you don’t have to read it.

Return to the open world and open the skills menu. You will notice a bar called “Mastery”.

It must be filled to the limit. To do this, perform your usual activities: fishing, ranching and other activities.

When you reach 10,000 points, return to the cave and select the skill that interests you. As a prize, you can receive a unique benefit or valuable item associated with this skill.
