Fame played a cruel joke on some members of the Larian Studios team. Users who subscribe en masse to voice actors’ accounts noticed that one of them liked “politically incorrect posts.”
Frazer Blaxland, who lends his voice to the tiefling blacksmith Dammon in Baldur’s Gate 3, was revealed to be a reader of groups that found users “homophobic” and “transphobic.” Some noticed that the voice actor also liked pro-Israel posts. A subscriber nicknamed Karlach’s forever pal posted a whole list of screenshots with “wrong likes” on his page.

“A thread of all the bigoted accounts, posts and tweets that @/fpdblaxland interacted with, this couldn’t be a ‘mistake’,” he wrote.
The scandal reached Fraser Blaxland himself, who published an apology post on social networks. The actor said he had unfollowed all accounts that were causing “concerns” among users.
This was a very important lesson about the importance of who I follow on social media. Before this, I never really thought about clicking the ‘follow’ button. In the future, I will be aware of who I follow because it matters.

However, many subscribers did not believe the actor and accused him of lying. Some even started mentioning this under the Larian Studios post.
“You might want to read this considering how inclusive your company is and the game you created. I wouldn’t want anyone who likes all this hateful content in my future projects,” said user Lex.
‘Fire this man, we don’t want any more [видеть] him,” user kaz.

There were also people who supported the voice actor.
“I laugh at these snowflakes in the comments. It’s called freedom of speech, if you don’t like it don’t read it, that’s all. His work in BG3 is great, why are you trying to cancel him, go touch the grass,” wrote user Grantovich.

Larian Studios has not yet responded to the Fraser Blaxland scandal.
We previously wrote about the likely “Gamergate 2.0” breaking out in the West. The cause of new unrest in the media industry was the company Sweet Baby Inc, which advises game studios on issues of inclusivity in games. Even Elon Musk responded.
