At the early stage of the game you need a sufficient amount of stable energy, which can be found in the Outer Zone, that is, at the very beginning of the passage. But over time, you will need major upgrades for your vehicle. In the first biome you will find only one or two such anchors. You should only look for sources of unstable energy when you leave the first location and find yourself in the intermediate zone. It will open automatically as you progress through the main storyline.
How to find unstable energy in Pacific Drive
Once you enter the Staging Zone, open the map and look for new icons that resemble sources of stable energy, but are indicated by a yellow circle. When you approach them, you will notice that they have a red or orange glow instead of the standard yellow. Such anchors are mounted in the same way as stable anchors. You need to drive as close as possible to the anchor, pick it up and place it in the ARC, which is in your car.

Please note: the larger the icon on the map, the higher the energy number in the anchor.
How to find faulty power in Pacific Drive
Sources of defective energy can be found in the Inner Zone. It opens towards the end of the walkthrough. On the map, such anchors are indicated in the same way as unstable anchors: in the form of yellow circles. However, if you get close to them, you will notice that they glow pink, purple or lilac. Pick them up and place them on your ATK in the car.
In addition to machine upgrades, defective and unstable energies are useful for moving through zones.
