In an exciting survival simulator Pacific Drive players will face countless encounters with natural elements and anomalies, and everything found here can help them survive. One of the most valuable finds in this game is the Trash Pearl. Today we will tell you where to find such an item and how to open it.
In the vast world of Pacific Drive, it’s important to be able to find value in what seems insignificant at first glance. Waste pearls, which look like sparkling diamonds among the waste, open the door to unknown possibilities. Unlocking the pearl’s secrets will take ingenuity and patience, but the rewards for your efforts can be very rewarding. By opening such an item, players can obtain everything from crucial resources to unique items that can significantly increase your chances of survival. Therefore, if you have already discovered one or even several pearls, do not even think about throwing them away! Below we tell you what you need to do to open them.
How do you find a waste pearl?

“Junk Pearl” is a very accurate description of the item, revealing its essence. After all, these unique finds, hidden among different types of waste, can be found in the most unexpected places, from ordinary waste containers to pneumatic boxes and trunks of abandoned cars. First of all, you will notice their large size in the inventory, which makes pearls stand out among other resources – the item takes up as many as four slots.
To find Waste Beads, inspect the following items:
- Trunks of abandoned cars;
- Garbage container in the hero’s garage;
- Garbage containers at gas stations and workshops.
Additionally, individual containers marked for specific purposes can sometimes become the source of these rare gems, offering them as a nice bonus.
How to Open a Waste Bead
As we have already noted, waste beads resemble shiny objects, which resemble tightly compressed masses of waste that emit a bright glow among the rest of the waste. The first time you find an item, you won’t receive a hint from the game, but you can read its description, which reads: “Cut a pearl into two pieces and you will see thousands of layers of valuable materials formed around the core. Break one, and who knows what will fall out?”.
This short hint explains that we need to open the pearl to use it correctly. Players can do this in several ways, such as using a salvage pistol or a hand hammer. However, many such instruments will have to be destroyed.
In order to quickly and efficiently dismantle the waste pearl and get rewards for it, it is worth examining and installing the “Matter Splitter” in the garage. To do this, you need to go a little further along the plot and make your first hand hammer, with which you can open the door in the utility room of the garage.

To create an issue splitter, you will need the following resources:
- Scrap (35);
- Gear (4);
- Electronics (4).
Simply place the device in the central hangar, then place a waste bead in it and wait a moment. The items you get from destroying them can and will vary from player to player, but most will be especially useful in the early survival stages.
