System information

Using the System Information app in Windows 11 is one of the easiest methods to get detailed information about your PC’s specifications.

  • Open the Windows search bar and type “MSInfo” without quotes for quick access to the application;
  • From the list that appears, select the appropriate application to open it.

Here you will find detailed information about your Windows 11 operating system, including operating system model, processor type, BIOS version, amount of RAM and virtual memory, and much more.

The opened page provides information not only about the processor, memory and motherboard, but also about the graphics processor. You can also find details about USB ports, network connections, audio devices, monitors and other components by selecting the appropriate sections from the menu on the left.

Using third-party applications

To obtain more detailed information about PC features, Windows 11 users can use a number of third-party tools. Such applications provide in-depth analysis of system components and often provide more detailed data than standard Windows tools. Here are some popular options:

CPU-Z

CPU-Z provides detailed information about the processor, including its name, architecture, single-core and multi-core performance. Also shows data about the motherboard, memory and operating system in general.

GPU-Z

GPU-Z is similar to CPU-Z, but focuses on the video card. Shows detailed information about the GPU, including its frequency, video memory size, memory type and process technology.

Speccy

Speccy is an app from the makers of CCleaner that provides information about every aspect of your hardware, including operating system, CPU, RAM, motherboard, graphics cards, storage, optical drives, audio, peripherals and network.

HWiNFO

HWiNFO – This powerful application provides comprehensive information about hardware components and supports the latest technologies. The program also provides real system monitoring data, including temperatures, voltages and fan speeds.

  1. Visit the official website and download the latest version of the program. Install it according to the standard installation instructions.
  2. Open HWInfo after installation. If you need immediate information about the status of your computer’s components, select the ‘Sensors Only’ option. For a broader overview of the operating system, you can skip this selection and the program provides both a general overview and access to detailed sensor data.
  3. Go to the “Sensors” section from the main menu to view the current readings of your PC. You will see detailed statistics, including the operating frequencies of the processor cores, the energy consumption of the video card and other important parameters.
